Grab This Modern Life Is War T-Shirt to Help Drummer Luke Rauch Fight Colon Cancer

0

Earlier this year, the guys in hardcore outfit Modern Life Is War were hit with an unexpected piece of news, as their drummer Luke Rauch was diagnosed with colon cancer. It was the kind of situation that no band, or really anybody for that matter, wants to ever experience. And while his cancer diagnosis progressed to stage three after one of his lymph nodes came back positive with cancer, the silver lining is that colon cancer is highly treatable and he’s already gone through 12 weeks of chemotherapy.

What’s not so great, however, is all the insane healthcare bills that can come from getting cancer treatment and having a mass surgically removed from your body in the United States. As such, the band is turning to their fans for some support, as they’ve just announced a pre-order for a limited edition Modern Life Is War shirt. All shirts will be made to order and they’ll only make as many shirts as needed to fulfill orders.

According to the band, all proceeds generated from the shirt’s sale will go directly to Rauch’s medical costs. In a similar vein, a GoFundMe has been going on since February where they’re looking to raise $50,000. The page originally was only looking for $10,000, but fan support caused them to blow past that goal, forcing them to up the limit as time went on. Today, the page has generated nearly $27,000 through 466 donations.

Rauch has played with Modern Life Is War since 2016, replacing longtime drummer Tyler Oleson.

With pre-orders closing at midnight CST on Sunday, July 2, your window of opportunity to not only score a cool shirt but help a musician in need is closing. Be sure to grab yours today.
