Steven Tyler Injures Vocal Cords, Aerosmith Postpone Farewell Tour Dates
Bad news if you paid $400 to sit your ass on a barstool at Aerosmith‘s farewell tour: the band have had to reschedule a number of dates in the wake of a vocal cord injury sustained by singer Steven Tyler. According to an official announcement from Tyler:
“I’m heartbroken to say I have received strict doctor’s orders not to sing for the next thirty days. I sustained vocal cord damage during Saturday’s show that led to subsequent bleeding. We’ll need to postpone a few dates so that we can come back and give you the performance you deserve.”
The rescheduled dates will affect Toronto, Chicago, Detroit, Cleveland, Raleigh, and Washington, DC; the rest of the dates are currently set to continue as normal. The new dates will take place in January and February 2024, though you can also get a refund if you can’t or don’t want to make the rescheduled show. Things will pick up again in Tampa on October 11.
