Metallica’s Reissuing Their Good Albums on Sick Colored Vinyl

0

Now, I’m not one of those chuds that thinks the only redeemable Metallica albums ever released is their first four of five releases…. But if I was going to spend my hard earned cash on specially re-released colored vinyl versions of their back catalog, you bet your ass it’s going to be the classics. Which is good news because that’s exactly what the band’s doing.

Starting next month and running well into this coming March, the biggest band in the world is running a monthly release schedule for the reissues of Kill ‘Em All (1983), Ride The Lightgning (1984), Master of Puppets (1986), …And Justice For All (1988), and their iconic 1991 self-titled album.

Each release is going to be printed on 180g vinyl, with each release coming in a thematically appropriate color variant, such as ‘electric blue’ for Ride the Lightning and ‘Jump In The Fire Engine Red’ for Kill ‘Em All.

Along with the sweet looking pressings, the albums will also feature the 2016 remastered audio that the band released roughly seven years ago.

Metallica’s been a bit on a roll lately, ever since the release of their latest studio effort, 72 Seasons. Over the summer, they held the first leg of their M72 World Tour, touring with the likes of Ice Nine Kills, Pantera, Mammoth WVH, and Five Finger Death Punch, though other artists subbed in here and there when necessary.

Aside from their upcoming performance at the Power Trip Festival in California later this month and a handful of dates in November, the band won’t be back on stage until May for the second leg of their M72 World Tour. You can find the full list of dates below.
