Looks Like Chimaira’s Teasing Something Ahead of Their 25th Anniversary

0

Fans of New Wave of American Heavy Metal stalwarts Chimaira might want to keep their ears on the ground for the foreseeable future, as the band posted some cryptic shit on their Instagram page hinting at some sort of 25th anniversary celebration.

Featuring the band’s logo with “XXV” (Roman numerals for 25 if you didn’t know) in the middle of it. The posted clip then features various snippets of sound as the logo changes, ostensibly referring to the various albums/tracks they’ve put out along the way.

And that’s pretty much all we know at this point. The news comes roughly five months after the two shows commemorating the 20th anniversary of The Impossibility of Reason that took place on Friday May 12 and Saturday May 13 at the Agora Theatre in Cleveland, Ohio. In that show, the lineup was the same as the band’s 2017 reunion, which featured the classic lineup of Mark Hunter (vocals), Rob Arnold and Matt DeVries (guitar), Jim LaMarca (bass) and Chris Spicuzza (keys, etc.), though drummer Austin D’Amond was also behind the kit.

For all we know, this could be a teaser for a discography box set, but fans commenting on the social media post are largely hoping for a big 25th anniversary tour. Only time will tell when we’ll find out what it all means, so for the time being, we’re gonna have to wait and find out.
