Chimaira Announce Live Album, Drop Merch Line

0

Groove metal outfit Chimaira are ramping up to do big things next year, including a live album featuring their anniversary shows and some new merch.

The album will feature music from their The Impossibility of Reason 20th anniversary tour last May. At the show, the band played that record in full, along with some deep cuts and rare songs.

In addition to the musical announcement, the band just put out a new line of merch featuring some throw-back outtakes like the shirt made initially alongside The Impossibility of Reason, featuring a red sigil and logo.

The band also have a few shows on the books already for 2024:

7/19-21 Mansfield, OH – Inkcarceration Music & Tattoo Festival
10/28-11/1 Headbangers Boat

Initially, when we mused about what the band’s special anniversary announcement would be, we were wondering if they would announce some more tour dates. So far, not yet, but they seem to be rolling out these news drops slowly, so that could well be on the way.

We were also speculating that the band could have been announcing a box set. So far, they’ve just rolled out the live album, but there could be another collection or even osme new music on the way.

Nothing is out of bounds, as the band, who initially broke up in 2014, haven’t shared the stage at a festival since 2010. When they announced their 2024 show at Inkcarceration Festival, they highlighted that fact.

“We are pleased to announce our first U.S. Festival appearance in 14 years. Join us this July at the Mansfield Reformatory for Inkcarceration Festival 2024!”

Clearly Chimaira are on a roll this year with the announcements and cool moves, so keep an ear out if you’re a fan of the band.
