Ghost Release Rare Track on Greatest Hits Album

Ghost just dropped a new, 13-song greatest hits album, and fans are most excited about that record giving us access to the song “Zenith” for the first time on streaming platforms.

The compilation is titled 13 Commandments and it released today. It mainly contains well-known hits like “Mary On A Cross,” “Year Zero,” “Call Me Little Sunshine,” “Rats,” and “Square Hammer.” But fans are getting really stoked about the rare bonus track “Zenith,” which until now has not been available to stream. The song was initially released as part of an expanded re-release of the 2015 record Meloria, titled Meloria Redux, but it has never been on streaming services until now.

The record also features Ghost’s cover of Iron Maiden‘s “Phanton of the Opera,” which is from their latest release, the Phantomime EP.

The band toured this year on their 2022 album Impera, and wrapped that rouring up in October. Ghost mastermind Tobias Forge, aka Papa Emeritus, shared with Metal Hammer that he was so moved by the band’s September shows in LA that he wants to use footage from them to make a movie.

“We were essentially shooting a film,” he says about the shows. “And we used two nights of crowds as extras … It’s going to be a film with a concert element. So a lot of what you experienced [at the two LA shows] is going to be part of this project.”

So, Ghost fans have a lot to celebrate for the holidays. Enthusiasts of Papa Emeritus and the spooky aesthetic can now stream a previously un-streamable song, and there may be a Ghost movie coming soon.
