Carcass and The Black Dahlia Murder Announce Australia/New Zealand Tour

0

The southern hemisphere is really lucking out with this one—a combined tour featuring Carcass and The Black Dahlia Murder is heading your way if you’re lucky enough to live in Australia or New Zealand.

While the tour only spans eight days, it manages to hit both countries and kicks off in April of 2024. The two bands together promise to be melodic and heavy as hell, taking listeners on a sonic journey and a trip through several decades of amazing melodic death metal.

Following the announcement, Carcass posted a short statement on their social media about how excited they were to hit the road with The Black Dahlia Murder.

“You asked for it! We made it happen! We are finally coming back down under in 2024 with The Black Dahlia Murder! It’s gonna be a goodun.”

The tour kicks off April 2 in Perth, AU and concludes April 12 in Auckland, NZ, also making noteworthy stops in Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Wellington, and Christchurch as the bands hit as much of the areas as possible.

We hope this means more touring is in the pipeline, as Black Dahlia Murder are currently working on a new album. About the forthcoming record, drummer Alan Cassidy said last month:

“Literally just finished drums for [The Black Dahlia Murder] ALBUM X (10) and number 5 for me and to say I’m exhausted is an understatement. So pumped for you all to hear it. Very proud of what we’ve written and it is some of my favorite stuff we’ve done so far. I wish Trev could hear it because I think he’d be just as proud and excited if not more so.

“Huge thank you to [Mark Lewis] for recording and housing us all for the last 2 weeks and working his ass off making sure that these drums sounded nothing short of amazing. Very much looking forward to this and everything else to come in 2024.”

Tickets go on sale to the general public this Thursday, December 7.
