First-Ever Prepare The Ground Festival to Feature Orchid, Tomb Mold, KEN Mode, and More

Canadians and Americans alike have yet another reason to visit the lovely city of Toronto next Spring, as organizers behind the inaugural Prepare The Ground Festival just announced another 14 new acts that are joining the already strong bill.

Announced earlier this year, the festival is slated to take place across three days from May 31 to June 2. Touted as a “new community focused arts & heavy music festival,” the whole thing will take place at multiple venues throughout the city, including across Lee’s Palace, the Phoenix Concert Theatre, The Garrison, Baby G, and Bar Orwell.

According to today’s announcement, Tomb Mold, Mike Scheidt (of Yob), Yellow Eyes (performing Immersion Trench Reverie), Kontravoid, Plack Blague, Tribunal, Völur, FÓRN, Witching, Jetsam, Death Kneel, Amulets, Cinder Well, and This is Hell are the latest artists to sign on with the festival. That makes the full list of confirmed bands and artists as follows:

Organizers revealed that they plan to have approximately 60 artists on the bill when it’s all said and done, with another announcement scheduled for next month.

Still, even without knowing all of the bands that will be on the bill, organizers revealed that early bird passes sold out in a matter of hours, while three-day passes are currently 70% sold.
