Inferious Drop New Single and Music Video

The gift-giving holidays may be behind us, but that doesn’t mean there isn’t one more thing to unwrap for fans of metalcore. And that’s thanks to metalcore band Inferious having recently dropped their third single from their upcoming full-length, Salt Your Earth.

Coming in hot with an accompanying video directed by Toddi Babu, the track “Bitterness II” is a pretty heavy track. The Ohio-based band self-produced the upcoming album with guitarist Shaun O’Shaughnessy spearheading the project and Christian Donaldson handled mixing and mastering. The record will be out February 24 and will follow on the heals of their Ad Mortem EP, which came out in 2021.

Speaking of the new song and its themes on the upcoming album, vocalist Gabe McQueen said it was based on a personal struggle with their emotions.

“‘Bitterness Pt II’ is about me dealing with the negative emotions I have for people who always disregard boundaries and keep doing harm without facing any consequences for their actions.”

As for the rest of the band, they released a statement along with the video, stating that they were all completely stoked to have Salt Your Earth coming out in the very near future.

“It’s been a long time coming, but we’re excited to share with you something we’ve worked hard for in the past year. We’re pleased to announce that we will be dropping our full length album, Salt Your Earth, on February 23, 2024.”

As a supergroup of sorts, Inferious is made up of former members of Denihilist, In Dying Arms, Grim State, and others who combine influences of black metal, thrash, death metal, and hardcore to blend genres and bend boundaries within the world of metalcore. If you’re a fan of any of those genres, you might want to keep an ear out for this full-length.
