Sabaton Have Some Big Plans for Their 25th Anniversary

0

Epic metallers Sabaton are turning 25, and they have a massive celebration planned in honor of the occasion. That celebration promises to last the entire year.

The Falun, Sweden- based band initially formed in 1999 and have 10 studio anthems and multiple international tours under their belt. To celebrate how far they’ve come, throughout 2024, they will dedicating each month to one of their albums, starting with Primo Victoria and ending with The War To End All Wars. We’re assuming they’ll call it quits two months before the end of the year, or perhaps end the year with an as-yet-unrevealed celebration.

What exactly do they mean when they say celebrate each album? According to the band, it could include album stories, song facts, listening parties, games, contests, giveaways, exclusive merch, and more.

Vocalist Joakim Brodén says:

“This is a massive milestone for us. Our fans have been with us every step of the way, and we couldn’t be more excited to celebrate this monumental occasion with them. We’re planning some great things that we’ve never done before, and we’re confident that 2024 will be one to remember, especially as we are heading to the studio at the beginning of next year to begin working on new music!

Band manager Pär Sundström adds:

“It’s hard to believe that a quarter of a century of us playing music and doing what we love the most has passed already. It’s been one hell of a journey, that’s for sure. We sing about history, but looking back we also wrote some history! Stay tuned!”

Fans can expect a lot more announcements as the year unfolds, no doubt including exclusive performances and something for fans of every album, and, of course, a few surprises.
