Don’t Expect a ‘Calculating Infinity’ Set from The Dillinger Escape Plan at No Values Fest

One of the most exciting bands on the No Values Fest lineup has to be the newly revived The Dillinger Escape Plan, but if you were getting excited for a potential Calculating Infinity anniversary set like the ones they announced earlier this year, don’t be.

The band revealed on social media that not only will they not be celebrating the 25th anniversary of their debut album at the festival, but they’ll instead be providing a different experience all together. According to the band, the 25th anniversary shows will remain something special for the Brooklyn gigs and will be the only place that they’ll have their official anniversary merch.

“Dear West Coast DEP fans….

“We have been getting a lot of messages from people on the West Coast who are unable to make it to our Calculating 25 shows. So here you go, guys! When first asked to play the new Goldenvoice No Values festival, we initially said no. But then we realized what an amazing opportunity this was to not only do a really special warm-up show for our West Coast family, but also to be part of one of the most epic lineups of all time. Truly historical.

“We did, however, want to announce that we will not be doing our full calculating infinity anniversary set, nor will we have the limited merch, and rare #Dillingerescapeplan memorabilia available until the Brooklyn Paramount shows.

“This will, however, be an opportunity to see us shake off the rust and maybe even perform a few early tracks we won’t be playing in NY.

“Any requests?

Regardless of this open call for requests, it looks like your request shouldn’t be Calculating Infinity in full. Still, there’s some killer DEP tracks from both the 1997 self-titled EP and the 1998 EP Under the Running Board that would be amazing to see live in 2024.
