Cannibal Corpse Tap Japanese Horror Flicks with “Vengeful Invasion” Video
Oh boy, a new Cannibal Corpse video. Let’s run through the checklist. Is the song heavy? Check. Does the video deal with some raw shit? Check. Gore? Blood? Pain? Anguish? Check. Check. Check. Check.
The band’s latest album Chaos Horrific may be a 2023 release, but that doesn’t mean the dudes in one of Florida’s biggest death metal exports since 1990 can’t keep reminding you just how fucking brutal it was. This go around, we’ve got a video for the track “Vengeful Invasion.”
Directed and edited by Zev Deans, shot by Brendan McGowan, and featuring SFX makeup by Nina Carelli, the video stars Actually Huizenga from the band Patriarchy. As you’ll see in the video below, it all starts out as a run-of-the-mill human trafficking story that goes completely off the rails when our victim gets their bloody revenge. According to the band, the video “spirals into grotesque phantasmagoria in the spirit of Japanese horror classics.”
All of this was released to not only remind you of how good Chaos Horrific is, but it’s also to remind you that the band’s heading out on tour this April with Amon Amarth, Obituary, and Frozen Soul. You can get the full list of tour dates below.
