Midnight Channels Classic Thrash with Their Latest Single “Nuclear Savior”

0

With just a little under a month until the release of Midnight‘s next full-length album Hellish Expectations, the Cleveland-based solo project dropped its latest single, “Nuclear Savior.” Now, this isn’t the first time a metal band’s talked about nuclear annihilation, but this latest attempt really feels like it would fit in during the 80s.

Featuring blisteringly fast guitars, thundering rhythms, and pissed off vocals, “Nuclear Savior” just hits the gas and never lets up. According to the band’s mastermind Athenar, the track’s slightly more old-school sound was deliberate.

“It’s a knuckle dragger with a fat cutoff, Pure testosterone meat. Probably the most concise and straight to the point MIDNIGHT album to date, and all written in a weekend.

“It’s a song about hitting the restart button. Flushing the old world down the toilet and giving the new world a chance. It’s actually a song of peace.”

Peace through superior firepower. I can dig it.

Hellish Expectations is set for release on March 8 via Metal Blade Records, though you can preorder your copy today.

Later this month, the band will hit the road with a single date in Los Angeles on February 24 before heading out to Australia for a short stint. Then in April, they’ll punch their ticket over to Europe for a more than month-long trek out that way. You can check out the tour dates below.
