Glassing’s New Single “Nothing Touches You” is a Rolling Tide of Unease and Turmoil

Blackened sludge outfit Glassing has a new album titled From the Other Side of the Mirror coming out next month and as is customary, they’ve dropped another morsel in the form of their latest single, “Nothing Touches You.”

Just over five and a half minutes long, the track spends a decent amount of time building tension before the proverbial levee breaks. What follows is the culmination of that built up energy, as the track flows and folds over itself.

According to the band, From the Other Side of the Mirror is “more discordant, more distorted and angrier than ever.” Described as a “metaphysical foray into the fractured, warped impressions of ourselves that exist only in the minds of others,” this album sees vocalist/bassist Dustin Coffman taking on a different persona with each track.

“‘Nothing Touches You’ is about unrequited emotional connections. The song’s dynamic transitions from aggression to vulnerability are meant to reflect what it feels like to love without reciprocation.”

From the Other Side of the Mirror will be released on April 26 via Pelagic Records, but you can preorder your copy today.
