The Dillinger Escape Plan Add a Chicago Show

0

If you’re one of the fans of The Dillinger Escape Plan that was upset that their previously revealed reunion shows were limited to the coasts, then prepare to be relatively excited based on your proximity to Chicago. Earlier today, the band announced that they’ll be headlining The Salt Shed Outdoors (Fairgrounds) in Chicago on August 24.

As previously revealed, the band will be running out with O.G. vocalist Dmitri Minakakis for this run of dates. What we don’t know is what they’ll be playing, since it turns out they’ve come out and said that at least their No Values Festival set on June 8 won’t be a Calculating Infinity show.

According to Ben Weinman, the Chicago show will be the band’s “biggest headline show in history,” which is super fun. He also had this to say about the newly added Chicago gig:

“When first announcing the Calculating 25 anniversary SHOW in Brooklyn, we could have never imagined the response. It just goes to show you that The Dillinger Escape Plan is not just a band of 5 dudes, but a force that embodies so many different elements, including the passion of all of our followers.

“That said, the announcement of our warm-up set at No Values Fest in Pamona has brought a lot of requests, particularly in reference to us not forgetting about the Midwest. So here you go, folks. Our biggest headline show in history, at one of the coolest new venues in the world!”
