Ted Nugent and His Wife Ask God for Forgiveness, But Not for What They Should

0

It’s been a minute since we took ol’ Ted Nugent out for a spin. We haven’t posted his pasty, hateful alt-right ass on our page since last September and that’s mostly because he hadn’t said anything particularly interesting or worthwhile. I mean, he still remained the hateful bastard that allegedly shit his britches to dodge the draft and allegedly adopted a 17 year-old girl so he could marry her, but everyone knows that already.

Yet during a recent episode of his shit-spewing podcast The Spirit Campfire, he and his wife Shemane did the unthinkable — they prayed to God to apologize.

Oh, they didn’t apologize about the right thing, mind you. They failed to come to grips about the people their words and actions have harmed or the countless people he’s turned into alt-right fools by using their own fears on them. Nugent never apologized for any of the anti-trans, racist, violent rhetoric he’s spewed over the years; you can throw that notion right out the window.

He used the power of prayer to apologize to God for not being hateful enough. The pair apologized for letting America fall to some unseen evil force. It’s truly some Looney Tunes, cuckoo for Cocoa Puffs type shit that falls in line with all the other unhinged rhetoric we’ve seen from a certain subset of American politics over the decades.

“God, we apologize. We apologize for being so spoiled, so disconnected, so irresponsible to support the evil that we have allowed, where men can enter women’s bathrooms and locker rooms and destroy women’s athletic records, and there is a segment of humanity that actually stands for that evil.

“We are sorry that we have allowed our government to become so evil that they are importing people to rape, carjack, murder and traffic children for demonic sex. We are so apologetic, but we promise you, God, we are not gonna take it anymore, and we are going to rise up and fulfill our ‘we the people’ responsibility to monitor the conduct and constitutional oath adherence and respect and reverence by those that we have heretofore mistakenly put into that kind of power.”

I’m not going to share the video link to his prayer since I’d rather not give him the ad money.

I’m sure plenty of you on either side of the aisle will blast me and the website for sharing this. Those on the left will yell about platforming the jackass while those of you on the right will say “soft,” “snowflake,” “you sound vaccinated,” and some other 10/10 commentary.

Let me just remind you that my predecessor expertly laid out the two reasons we cover Nugent. Read that and understand our intent.
