Exclusive Premiere: Vale of Pnath’s “Soul Offering” Seeks to Push Tech-Death Further

0

Denver-based technical death metal outfit Vale of Pnath are back to remind the world of their acerbic tone and razor-sharp attack with “Soul Offering,” the latest single from their upcoming album Between the Worlds of Life and Death.

Set to release just five years after their 2019 EP Accursed and eight years after their sophomore full-length II, this new record is being seen as a sort of continuation of what the band was experimenting with in recent years. With this new album, they feel it will help push the band’s sound even further forward.

“It’s been five years since our last release, Accursed. The EP really was a new avenue for the band as we leaned further toward a more blackened approach stylistically. Having more of a tech death background, this EP was a way to lead our fans into the next era.

Between The Worlds of Life and Death is an album that really is just a continuation of what we started with Accursed. It captures the band’s core sound, but also brings a newer and bold take on this brand of metal. We want this to be the most approachable album we have made for metal fans. We want people to put this on and be sucked in immediately, yet keep coming back for more.”

That drive to bring some newness to their style is evident in this latest track. It’s harsh, biting, and unrelenting right from the get-go. Seriously, it’s a little over three minutes of just brutal death metal that’s so incredibly intricate at times that it’s hard not to get immediately sucked into what they’re doing. Featuring a guest solo from Cradle of Filth’s Donny Burbage, this thing just goes to 100 MPH and doesn’t slow down.

Between The Worlds of Life and Death will be released on May 24 via Willowtip Records, but you can preorder your copy today. If you’d like to see these guys rip shit up in person, we’ve also got a list of tour dates down below.
