Rush Extend Their 2026 Comeback Tour by 17 More Stops
As if you didn’t see this sort of thing coming, Rush is once again extending their “Fifty Something” comeback tour well into 2026. This time around, an additional 17 dates have been announced, with new shows taking place in Philadelphia, Detroit, Boston, Seattle, and more. That brings the total stops to 40.
Each date is a brand new stop on the tour and there are plenty of dates in between each show to add even more nights in between. So don’t worry if your preferred venue sells out super fast — I wouldn’t be shocked if places get multiple shows down the line.
With this new lease on life, Rush will once again see bassist and vocalist Geddy Lee and guitarist Alex Lifeson take the stage. Iconic drummer Neil Peart obviously won’t be there, since he passed away back in 2020, but they’ll have German drummer, composer, and producer Anika NIlles behind the kit. She’s known for her work with Jeff Beck, as well as her run of solo albums.
As for how this all came about, Lee said the following:
“It’s been over 10 years since Alex and I have performed the music of Rush alongside our fallen bandmate and friend Neil. After all that has gone down since that last show, Alex and I have done some serious soul searching and come to the decision that we fucking miss it. It’s time for a celebration of 50-something years of Rush music.
“So in 2026 my BFF Lerxst (aka Alex Lifeson) and I are going to hit the road once again to pay tribute to our past and to Neil by performing a vast selection of Rush songs in a handful of cities. No small task, because as we all know Neil was irreplaceable.
“We have been introduced to another remarkable person; an incredible drummer and musician who is adding another chapter to our story. Her name is Anika Nilles, and we could not be more excited to introduce her to our loyal and dedicated Rush fanbase.”
