If you’re as big a nerd as I am (and chances are you probably are), then you’re likely looking forward to next week’s livestream of The Game Awards. Even though it’s just an award show for video games, it’s really just a chance to catch some new trailers and announcements for games that are coming out in the coming years.

The Game Awards has also historically been an event where some great musical numbers have been performed over the years. This year, they’ve gone and gotten Evanescence to hit the stage during the show. You may recall that earlier this year they released a new song titled “Aftermath” that was used for the Devil May Cry anime series on Netflix.

In a post on the band’s official social media accounts, frontwoman Amy Lee announced the band’s involvement in the awards show. She also hints at a potential second season for the Devil May Cry anime, so fans should get hyped for that if it’s your thing.

The Game Awards will be livestreamed on December 11 at 7:30 p.m. EST on pretty much every platform you can think of: Twitch, YouTube, Prime Video, Twitter, TikTok Live, Facebook, Gamespot, IGN… the list goes on. Tune in for the Evanescence performance and stay for the super exciting news and reveals.
