Exodus Post Their “3111” Music Video on Social Media After It’s Banned from YouTube

0

Yesterday, thrash legends Exodus dropped the first single to their forthcoming album Goliath, titled “3111”. It’s fast, it hits hard, it’s a banger. But one of the unfortunate things that came out of that whole thing was the fact that they didn’t have a music video to share for the drop.

To be clear, they did have a video, but YouTube blocked it from being uploaded to the service because it apparently broke their community guidelines for graphic displays of violence. Which makes sense, because the song is all about Mexican cartels and the murders that happened down in Juarez in 2010. Multiple attempts were made to edit the video for inclusion on YouTube, but it didn’t work out.

Earlier today, they put the video up on Twitter, because that’s a lawless place on the internet. After watching the video, I can understand why YouTube got upset about the content, but come on. We see worse on the news everyday — but I digress.

Exodus guitarist Gary Holt has gone on the record to say they intend on posting a censored version to YouTube as well, but that’s taking some time to get done. For the meantime, you can check out the video in the Tweet below.

Goliath will be released on March 26, but you can preorder your copy today.
