We have no idea what the fuck this Chinese website actually says, but one thing is clear: someone is selling a regular ol’ pair of white and red Converse hi-tops as “Axl Converse.” Anyone who’s seen the “Estranged” music video epic will recall the fire-haired one wearing a custom pair of these Converse hi-tops with “Axl” monogrammed on the back — in the scene where he jumps off the boat and swims with the dolphins, I believe (Perhaps some enterprising MetalSucks reader can provide a screencap.). But leave it up to the crafty Chinese knock-off industry to actually market a pair of regular old sneakers as “Axl Converse.”Excuse me while I head down to Chinatown to go get our own A. Rosenberg a pair of these for Chanukah.

it’s not chinese….it’s a big brand called Number (n)ine . it’s a fashion brand from japan. they made an entire collection in the spring/summer 2006 inspired by guns n roses. and the years before inspired by Nirvana.
I have a pir of that shoes and payed 300 euros.

They are quite different to the one Mr. Rose had.

Hi my brother actually owns a pair of axl’s converse shoes, he has autographed them for him, can’t give you too many details at the moment because I can’t contact my brother, but i can get a photo of them if anyone is interested. He has owned them for about 15 years and them have been kept in special plastic bag.
I was wondering what them would be worth.

I don’t know why, but here in Sweden… everybody wears a pair of converse shoes. It’s everything from the classic ones to lupe fiasco-models. No matter if you’re a 6 year old girl or if you’re an old man… you’re supposed to wear converse. It’s just like that in Sweden. I own a pair of green converse, and that’s all I need at the moment. Without converse, there would be no me. Hahahah, take care!
I’m still trying to figure out how to get a pair of the AXL kicks. I thought I’d be able to buy them here, but no luck. Anyone else?
