BOUGHT THE NEW GOD FORBID DVD YET?

Beneath the Scars of Glory and Progression, God Forbid’s first DVD, has been on store shelves for a few weeks now; if you still haven’t purchased a copy, well, please allow us to entice you further with the below footage of the band performing “End of the World,” taken from the David Brodsky-directed concert portion of the DVD. This song gets my blood pumping every time, and the footage might be the best ad for the DVD available.

    No, I don’t think I’ll be buying this. Furthermore, I don’t expect to support anything God Forbid ever does.

    Dallas’s little n-bomb screed a few weeks ago was more than enough for me. His repeated use of that word just shows he is an ignorant ass.

    I don’t care what the composition of his band, circle of friends, family, bridge club, or other social group is or has ever been. The history of that word, as well as the stigma associated with it, does not allow for people with a modicum of awareness to use it. Said in the wrong circumstances, Dallas would be on the receiving end of a beating while yelling “my drummer and singer said it’s ok!”

    got this bad boy for 12 bucks and it was totally worth it…especially for the frequent use of the n-word

    is david brodsky like the busiest guy on the planet or what, I mean shit every 4 posts is about some new D. brodsky vid.
    I work in computer animation which is a slow process, and im familiar with video editing – ain’t no cake walk. The fact that any quality video media that has been made in the last year (and probably the next few years) is nothing short of damn impressive.

    Thats an interview i would like to see, the artist who gets to work with the artists.

    Doesn’t this song seem a little slow live? I might be nuts, but it seems like it’s one beat too slow, the original song is faster… it’s off, i think is the main point i’m getting at. Still sounds good tho, their no killswitch live tho .\,,/

    Nope. I haven’t found it locally yet. I’ll have my car tomorrow or thursday and will make the trip and probably end up paying too much for it. For a big GF fan like me not to have this DVD yet, I admit, I should probably be beaten.

    Anyways…

    Does it have any impact on you, JTL, to know that Dallas is black? Does it matter that Dallas and the whole band have had plenty of run-ins with racist types? I don’t like to throw the word victim around too easily, but it’s easy to see that they all have been affected by racism. You seem a little misinformed. Furthermore, your comments on the use of the word ‘Nigger’ leave out countless ways all sorts of people are misusing this word much worse. Getting offended when an African American says the word nigger is like getting offended because your grandmother reminded you that you’re white for some odd reason. To sum it all up nigga, your post is pretty ignant.

    @ Nick: I listen to God Forbid as well as Hallows Eve(ya know, Tales Of Terror, SPEED FREAK!!, Attack Of The Iguana etc.), does that mean that I’m a poser/fag as well as a man?

    Anyways, looking forward to this dvd AND Hallows Eve’s soon to be released Night Of The Never Ending Sleep.
