Methinx even Mortiis itself would likely crack a lil smile at some point during this tune…any of your hearts too dark for a bit o’sunshine?
FISHBONE – “Everyday Sunshine”, from The Reality of My Surroundings
-KW

I’ve been having a shitty day, and this really perked my mood up. Thanks guys!
I loved Fishbone soooo much growing up in Los Angeles. How the hell did they never make it big and Red Hot Chili Peppers did? They’ve got some great metal tracks on their later albums, too.
good shit, good shit.
Good Band!!! The Album “give a monkey a brain & he’ll swear he’s …” is Awesome, and is more METAL!!!
I had gotten this album when I was 12 years old I think. It had only been out for a year or so and they had a video on Headbangers Ball of Sunless Saturday or Fight the Youth I believe and really the album only had one or two heavy songs. When I was 12 I thought it sucked since I wanted a whole album of heavyness. Now that I’m 28 going on 29 I purchased there greates hits album a few years ago which has the afermentioned songs on it plus all there other wierd “singles” and they were pretty damn awesome looking back on it.
@ the Brown: I had a very similar experience — bought *Reality* based off the “Sunless Saturday” video that was played on 120 Minutes…..and yeah I thought it sucked too when I was but a tween with an inevitably limited sense of musical adventure. Four or five years later, whilst in high school (emphasis on the HIGH) I became friends with a band of funked up misfits that LOVED Fishbone and I revisited the album to find that it was fucking amazing, allbeit extremely bold n zany…..I mean, in addition to repeatedly (and effectively) shifting genres, the album featured interludes of stuff like people getting whipped and screaming and spastic 30 second bursts of Angelo’s philosophies (“If I Were…”) — that shit is still ahead of its time, and ours.
