BISON B.C. AND LAZARUS A.D. TEAM UP FOR “BAPTIZED IN BEER” NORTH AMERICAN TOUR!

baptized in beer 2009 tourCanadian metalers Bison B.C. and Wisconsin thrashers Lazarus A.D. have teamed up for the MetalSucks and MetalInjection-sponsored 2009 “Baptized in Beer Tour,” which kicks off July 8th in Vancouver, British Columbia. Support on select dates will come from Barnburner and Woe of Tyrants. The coming together of B.C. and A.D. means one of two things will happen when this tour hits the pavement: 1) the birth of Jesus Christ, 2) a giant fucking party. We’re hoping for the latter!

Bison B.C. were one of our favoritest actually-did-live-up-to-the-hype-when-we-finally-saw-them-live acts to break in late 2008. Comments the band, whose bludgeoningly fuzzed out stoner jackhammer of an album Quiet Earth dropped last year: “We can’t wait to crawl back into the blue bitch and drive from town to town melting faces and damaging livers – so lock up yer liquor cabinets, we will see you in the future.”

Says Jeff Paulick of Lazarus A.D. — whose ripping blend of modern and retro thrash The Onslaught we streamed in its entirety back in February — adds: “We are really looking forward to going back to Canada; we had a blast last time and the crowds were sick as fuck. We also look forward to getting a chance to play some cities we missed on the last couple of tours in the US and can’t wait to party with the guys from Bison B.C. and Woe of Tyrants…a tour like this is going to be one big party!”

    i’m starting to get really fucking pissed that these tours arent coming to toronto. its the biggest city in canada. who goes to fucking saskatoon and not toronto? BULLSHIT

    This is a testament to the power of beer, I like both of these bands but never would have thought they’d tour together since they are so different from eachother. Beer united them because the smell of beer makes peoples nipples hard.

    Another tour I’d go to if it came any place near New England!!
    Whoever told you all we listen to is crappy MallCore music… well, they were mostly right, but there are still a few fans of quality music left in New England (I promise).

      nobody said its the centre, but it has the largest population, and probably the largest metal population. so it doesnt make sense for all these tours to keep missing us. and the leafs really do suck and i could care less about it.

          western canada is way more metal. vancouver is the most metal city in canada. montreal used to be a contender, but vancouver is a nexus of a mastodon-fueled trend i call beast metal…bison bc being the exemplar.

    I’m impressed as fuck they’re hitting Kelowna and Banff. Fuck, I might even drive out to the Banff show instead of the Kelowna one cause I”ll be out of town for the Calgary gig. They’ll probably be less than a hundred people there. It’ll be awesome. I can’t imagine them making money off of it, but you don’t get metal in the middle of a rocky mountain tourist town much.
