I love this band, but they keep making it hard on me. Does the record company think that by picking a more acceptable ‘Filth song they are actually going to gain fans? Let people see what the band does best: blackened gothy thrash. Also, isn’t corpse paint suposed to be scary? Not comical? Hmmm?

For the longest time, I ignored CoF thinking they were far too cheesy. I gave Godspeed… a spin, and now I find myself listening to the past catalogue. The video, however, like most of their videos I’ve checked out, is just “meh”. Not bad, just “meh”.

This song is not bad. But it also isn’t good. It is an almost song. Some good guitar riffs and such in there, but like so many things it got lost along the way.

I love the song, but I have to admit that video sucks. I understand having to edit certain parts of the song to make it fit, but cutting out some of the more dynamic pieces isn’t the best direction to go, in my opinion. It left the video musically monotonous and visually boring (nothing really happens in the video, much different than how I imagined when just listening to the song). Anyway, I’ve still got “Honey & Sulfur”, I love that video.
One of my least favorite songs on the new CD, but quite obviously a single from the beginning so I’m not surprised. Regardless, it’s not a bad video, but they’ve had better.

I’ve tried to like Cradle Of Filth in the past… they’ve got the watered-down, symphonic black metal thing going, and that tends to be more along the lines of what i prefer. However, Dani Filth’s vocals are horrendous, especially the higher-pitched howls that he does, and renders them entirely unlistenable as far as I’m concerned.
I like it, I am sure that many people thnk like me, I´m listening once twice and many tmes again again.
Yeah, it’s alright. Nowhere near anything off Cruelty or Midian but still way better than anything off of Thornography.

It’s a cool video, but..it’s not the best we know they CAN do. This is not the best stuff from COF. I love them, I love the old and the new stuff, but…something is not working very well these days. Dani and the rest of the guys look tired and totally uninspired in the video. I think they’re in some serious need of a break and a career reconsideration.

I like COF and I liked the video but I do think that it could have been a lot better. Unless you know the history, and yes it is actual history, behind the story, the video doesn’t make much sense. Do a little research and you will understand what they were going for. Although they could have done a much better job with it. Also, this type of music in general does not appeal to most people. They need to bring back Rosie though, she will be missed. She definitely gets my vote for hottest keyboard player.
