And Now, For Your Streaming Pleasure: Veil of Maya’s Matriarch

Veil of Maya are now streaming their new album, Matriarch, in advance of its release tomorrow on Sumerian. Given the album’s title, it might have been more appropriate to launch the stream yesterday, but I understand why VoM didn’t do this: a Sunday is never a great time for the news cycle, and Mother’s Day is probably even worse. Also because the members of Veil of Maya all hate their moms!!!

Stream Matriarch below. I know some people are really worked up about all the clean singing on the album, but given that the album still sounds super Sumeriancore-ish, I’m not really sure what the big frickin’ deal is.
