Heavy Montreal: More Bands Announced! Awesome Ones!
Heavy Montreal 2015’s line-up is stressfully awesome. I expect that, in the weeks leading up to the jam, I will have sweaty nightmares about racing from stage to stage to stage — only to witness each act’s thanks and departure. Cymbals will still be ringing as Dream Anso shakes a fist heavenward while using the other fist to bring a smoothie to his lips, then breaks into another sprint to some other impossibly distant stage where yet another band is ending. I’ll awake full of happy dread. It’s a good problem. So I thought.
But now more acts have been announced; my good problem now is basically a problematic problem. I mean, how many sets and miles of darting through crowds is there time for? Plus, Heavy is still to add the Summer Slaughter tour, which may include more unmissable bands. Shit on it. For now, weekend roster (above) and the latest additions:
Devin Townsend Project
Veil of Maya
The Acacia Strain
After The Burial
Mass Murder Messiah
Heavy Montreal 2015 is August 7-9 in beautiful Parc de Jean-Drapeau. Passes and hotels here. Last year’s fest recap here and here.
