New Stuff

Six Feet Under’s Undead is going to be one of the most oft-discussed releases of the summer just by virtue of its existence. I mean, here’s a band fronted by a total legend, that much of the public seems to have grown weary of, who have now undergone a major line-up change and now includes some other real heavy hitters, which, needless to say, has lead to a pretty noticeable shift in their sound. I don’t know if everyone is gonna dig this album, I do know that everyone is gonna debate its merits.

Well, hey, guess what? The album is now being streaming in its entirety by our pals at Decibel. So give it a listen, grab your little paper cup, and meet us over by the water cooler. I’m (un)dying to hear what everyone thinks of this thing. I think I’ve made it pretty clear that I’m digging it a lot, but I’m sure more than a few of you will not. Hopefully at least some of you will get on board with it, though.

Six Feet Under’s Undead comes out May 22 via Metal Blade. You can read our own Mad Sourman’s review of Undead here, and our own Justin Norton’s interview with Chris Barnes himself here. The band goes on tour with Dying Fetus and Revocation starting in June; you can get dates here.
