We’ve been excited about Ephel Duath’s new EP, On Death and Cosmos, ever since it was announced that guitarist/mastermind Davide Tiso would be joined on this release by the mind-blowingly-great line-up of Karyn Crisis (Crisis) on vocals, Steve DiGiorgio (Death, Testament, Obscura) on bass, and Marco Minemann (Necrophagist, Kreator) on drums. Luckily, the results do not disappoint: forward-thinking in composition and classic-sounding in tone, On Death and Cosmos is off-kilter death metal that could only have been created by Ephel Duath.
