Disarm the Descent, the heavily-anticipated new album from Killswitch Engage, is now streaming here. Give a listen and let us know what you think in the comments section below… I am beyond curious to see how other KsE fans react to it (you can read my review here).

Deluxe editions of Killswitch Engage’s new album, Disarm the Descent, will include a DVD featuring a thirty-minute “making of” documentary entitled New Awakening. Interestingly enough, though, you won’t actually have to buy the deluxe Disarm to see it — ’cause the band is releasing it online for five parts. The first chapter, “Rhythm,” can be seen below.

Directed by Mike Pecci and Ian McFarland, this first part, at least, suggests that Awakening is going to be a surprisingly un-goofy affair. But even with a bare minium of Adam Dutkiewicz silliness, it’s still a good watch, and provides some interesting insights into Disarm‘s creation. I do, however, find it a little odd that the return of Jesse Leach to the fold isn’t the doc’s immediate focus. The clip is almost over before anyone so much as mentions him, and even then, it’s not by name. The Leach reunion is going to be at the center of all discussions about the album pretty much no matter what, so why bury the lede?
