Video: Metallica, Pantera, Anthrax, Stone Sour, Zakk Wylde and More Remember Jeff Hanneman

Say what you will about the Revolver Golden Gods Awards (and plenty has certainly been said) but in the end I think it’s a good thing that the entire metal industry gets together in one place once a year to celebrate the music we all love. For every Arejay Hale that wins the “Best Drummer” award (rufkm?), there’s some hard rock kid in Kansas or wherever who thinks to himself “Who the hell is the guy from that band with the funny-sounding name Gojira that was also nominated?” He then proceeds to call up Gojira on YouTube on his phone and his life is forever altered.

This year’s Golden Gods was a helluva party as always, although the mood was somewhat dampened by the tragic news of Jeff Hanneman’s death which broke just hours before the show. Metal Injection was on the black carpet as usual and had the opportunity to ask Metallica, Pantera, Anthrax, Stone Sour, Zakk Wylde and more about Jeff’s untimely passing. Watch the footage below:
