Puig Destroyer: Baseball Phenom-Inspired Grindcore Album Streaming in Full

Axl’s absence from the Mansion this week all but ensures you won’t be reading about Pig Destroyer through Friday (inb4 “Scott Hull’s Drum Machine” joke in the comments)… or so you thought. Suckers!

Puig Destroyer — the grind outfit dedicated to Los Angeles Dodgers phenom outfielder Yasiel Puig that features members of Kowloon Walled City, Curl Up & Die and Thrice — are streaming their entire debut, self-titled EP via Bandcamp. It’s six glorious songs in less than six minutes, in true grindcore fashion, all about the hulking, talented Cuban youngster. Riley Breckenridge’s programmed drums are pretty sweet, although he’s no Scott Hull. Stream:

Dodgers fans, u still mad that Yasiel Puig didn’t make it onto the All Star Team? I was definitely against his inclusion (one stellar month in the big leagues does not an All Star make), but hindsight is always 20/20, and perhaps he could’ve helped the National League muster more than three hits in this year’s embarrassing loss. Sounds like his All Star break wasn’t all bad, though: he spent it hanging out with Snoop Dogg at the Playboy Mansion.
