Inadvertently hilarious Craiglists “bandmate wanted” ads are the stuff of legends: check here, here and here for but a sampling of the jokesters seeking out “serious” metal bands over the years. But finally there’s a dedicated bandmate search engine and forum for serious musicians looking to start a new project or round out an existing one: the appropriately titled GetInMyBand.com. Users can sign up and search using a variety of different musical instrument categories (plus four “support” categories such as manager and sound engineer), genre, location, audio clips, etc, and it’s all in one, simple, standardized format so you won’t have to sort through sloppy Craigslist ads for “serious musicians only!!!” ever again.
