Evan Brewer Comments on His Absence from The Faceless

Bassist Evan Brewer has been mysteriously missing from The Faceless’ current tour with Between the Buried and Me, which, needless to say, has made some fans nervous that he may be leaving the band. Meanwhile, a very (and I want to emphasize that — very) credible source tipped off MetalSucks that Brewer has been absent from the trek because he’s been auditioning for a band “of a legendary status.”

And it looks like our source had it right, according to the new message that Brewer has posted to The Faceless’ Facelessbook page:

Of course we still have no idea what this “potential musical opportunity” that Brewer is “exploring” could be — I can’t even really think of an appropriate band that’s looking for a bassist right now, although I understand these things are sometimes kept very hush-hush until someone is hired.  It’s also not clear if Brewer would have to leave The Faceless permanently if this opportunity became more-than-an-opportunity (for lack of a better way to put it), or if he’d be able to participate in both projects.

So, mystery partially solved, but no not really at all. At least we know that as of right now, Brewer is still a member of The Faceless, so that’s cool!
