Best in Brutality Tour

Oy. This tour may have offered the best in brutality, but it suffered from the worst of luck: co-headliner Oceano weren’t able to get into Canada, making them unavailable for a nearly a third of the scheduled dates, while support act Fallujah haven’t been part of the package since before March 28, when they announced they were dropping off the tour “due to some uncontrollable circumstances regarding our vehicle.” As a result, a significant amount of the trek’s remaining two weeks would feature only Broken Hope, Rivers of Nihil, and Kublai Kahn. Which is still a solid bill, but I guess not solid enough for promoters. Says Broken Hope via Facebook:

We’ve already received a bunch of e-mails from disappointed readers, and all we can really say is… yeah, this stinks. But it also seems like it was out of everyone’s hands; like I said, shit luck and all that. It happens. All of these bands seem to tour quite a lot — in fact, Rivers of Nihil just announced new dates with DevilDriver, Whitechapel, Carnifex, Revocation and Fit For An Autopsy earlier this week — so I’m sure fans will get to check ’em out sooner rather than later.
