Saturday to Get Un-Blue

Sure, the Summer season technically lasts for a few more weeks, but we all know that shit is about to be unofficially dunzo post-Labor Day.  And I for one welcome another Autumnal adventure.

Something about the Summer always feels stagnant to me; the oppressive heat (which admittedly wasn’t so bad this year, thanks to global warming, yay) tends to leave folks with a feeling of omigod-it’s-so-hot-let’s-be-outside-and-drink-or-ironically-hibernate-in-our-air-conditioned-sanctuary, and it seems like not nearly as much productivity occurs.

When the Fall rolls around and the kiddies go back to school, I always feel a renewed sense of purpose and focus within myself and in the air around me.  A revitalized urgency reappears, and with the first tinges of any level of coldness in the air we are once again reminded to take advantage of the not-too-hot-and-not-too-cold limited period of time while we can, before the truly dismal Winter frost sets in.

So let’s dust off the last of the Summertime Blues and get pumped for a crispy, progressive new season of falling forward.  No sense getting stuck in the past; time is just gonna keep a-rollin, with or without you…
