Here’s a Fun and Ridiculous Video from Yngwie Malmsteen’s New Live DVD

Oh, Yngwie! The guy we love to hate and hate to love. Love to hate because he’s so over-the-top and ridiculous, a caricature of himself and a living embodiment of all the worst excess and gluttony of ’80s metal. Hate to love because at the end of the day he is insanely talented, did revolutionize metal, and how can you just slough off a guy who takes himself so seriously and carries himself with such a sense of righteousness?

Ying-Ying will release the Spellbound Live in Orlando DVD on September 17th, together with a Spellbound Live in Tampa audio CD portion, recorded at back-to-back Malmsteen shows. Check out a preview of the DVD below, featuring Yngwie being completely ridiculous — aka himself — throughout cuts of several songs. I both love it and hate it, and so will you.
