Juicy Tour Rumor: Between the Buried and Me and The Atlas Moth
It stands to reason that with a new BTBAM album will come a new BTBAM tour. While no such trek has been announced yet, we’ve seen metal’s biggest Panthers fans announce headlining dates at both New England Metal and Hardcore Fest and Texas Independence Fest, so it seems likely they’ll announce some shows connecting the two sooner rather than later.
Heavy Blog is Heavy did a little sleuthing and noticed that The Atlas Moth dropped a post on their official Facebook page saying they’d be supporting one of New England Metal Fest’s headliners this spring. Then they looked at the lineups of both of the above festivals and determined that the only NEMHF headliner on both is BTBAM. So that seems pretty much like a done deal.
The question is what other bands will join the trek. Plenty of others are playing both fests, including The Agonist and Allegaeon, but it’s certainly possible other tours will hit both festivals — there are a LOT of bands playing.
For The Atlas Moth, this is a sweet get. They’ve done plenty of touring the past two years, but from what I can remember the last big headliner they opened for was Gojira. It’s a good fit, too: BTBAM fans not familiar with TAM already should be stoked on their intense, trippy vibes.
Dates when we get ’em.
