Lamb of God’s Randy Blythe is Getting a Solo Photography Show in NYC this Spring
Lamb of God frontman Randy Blythe, just one of whose talents is taking all sorts of engaging and fascinating photos of the world around him (a smattering of which end up on his Instagram page), is getting a show all his own this spring to show off some of his favorite work.
This May and June, Blythe’s photos will be on display at NYC’s Sacred Gallery in a show he’s calling “Show Me What You’re Made Of.” Blythe promises he’ll soon reveal the “specific theme” of the show, but judging by its title and the promo flyer — and some conjecture as an avid follower of Blythe’s Instagram — it seems as if it’ll have something to do with intimate portraits of characters Blythe’s encountered (during his travels? in Richmond? we’ll see).
Here’s the announcement via Randy’s Instagram:
So stoked! Here’s the flyer for “Show Me What You’re Made Of”, my first photography show, a solo exhibition up May through June at @sacredgallerynyc in Soho, New York City. Opening is May 2, starting at 8 pm, & I will be there. I’m showing a body of work curated around a specific theme, which will be posted soon in my artist’s statement. Yes, the stuff will be for sale- what doesn’t go at the show will be sold by the gallery later. www.sacredgallerynyc.com. So if your in NYC, May 2, come on out & say what’s up!
See you at the opening!
Blythe, of course, is also putting the finishing touches on his autobiography/memoir, due out later this year.
