Drummer Daniel Svensson Quits In Flames
Daniel Svensson, longtime drummer of Swedish death metallers In Flames, has left the band. According to his public statement, Svensson wants to spend more time with his family.
Svensson posted the following to Facebook on Saturday:
Svensson has been drumming for In Flames since 1998, and is featured on such classic albums as Colony, Clayman, and Come Clarity, so his departure is obviously a big deal for the band. But at the end of the day, you can’t blame a guy for wanting to be around more as his kids grow up.
We’ll begin wildly speculating on the band’s new drummer soon, but until then we wish Svensson and In Flames all the best.
