Track Premiere: Hypno5e, “East Shore – In Our Deaf Lands”

MetalSucks goes back a long way with French progressive metallers Hypno5e — or as we affectionately call them, “Hypno-five-eee” — whose very first U.S. tour (with Revocation opening!) we sponsored all the way back in 2010. It’s been a treat to watch this very talented band grow and expand over the years since.

So we’re incredibly stoked to premiere the new Hypno5e song “East Shore – In Our Deaf Lands,” from their forthcoming album Shores of the Abstract Line. Hypno5e bill themselves as “the pioneers of cinematic metal,” and that description certainly rings true on this track. The nearly 13-minute epic climbs peaks, descends into valleys and traverses pretty much every kind of sonic terrain imaginable, a true adventure, all within Hypno5e’s unmistakeable brand of riff-driven prog and expansive post-rock with world influences.
