Cradle Of Filth Cancel First Four Dates of Upcoming Tour

0

Updte, 4:28 p.m.: Ne Oblivscaris have now announced headlining shows in place of the cancelled CoF gigs. The dates for those shows are as follows:

Jan. 26 Philadelphia, PA @ Voltage Lounge w/BLACK CROWN INITIATE
Jan. 27 Providence, RI @ Firehouse 13
Jan. 28 Baltimore, MD @ Baltimore Soundstage

There will also be shows on January 28 and 29, although the venues for those shows have yet to be determined. Follow Ne Oblivscaris on Facebook to keep up with all the latest intel.

Original story follows below.

In November, we posted dates for Cradle of Filth’s tour with Butcher Babies and Ne Obliviscaris, which was supposed to start tomorrow night. Was, because Cradle of Filth have now announced that due to visa issues, the first four dates of the tour will have to be cancelled.

The cancelled dates are:

Jan. 26 – Philadelphia, PA @ Theater of the Living Arts
Jan. 27 – Boston, MA @ House of Blues
Jan. 28 – Baltimore, MD @ Baltimore Soundstage
Jan. 29 – Raleigh, NC @ The Ritz

What a bummer, right? Hopefully, the other two bands will be able to perform at those venues so that fans can catch Ne Obliviscaris, but somehow I doubt it.

Dani Filth made the following statement:

“With a massively heavy heart, Cradle of Filth have to announce the cancellation (for now at least) of our first four shows in the U.S, because of a visa issue with the American embassy. We are doing everything in our power to rectify this situation as fast as possible. It is an nightmarish situation for all and we can only apologize for all those fans who have bought tickets. Thank you for your understanding and please be assured we are doing everything we can to be with you as soon as is humanly possible and that should be 31st January in Charlotte, North Carolina. We look forward to seeing you then. For refunds, please contact your point of purchase. We apologize for any inconvenience caused.”

Man, these fucking visa issues. They’ve screwed over Obscura, The Ocean, and now Cradle of Filth. And it seems like all three of those bands have been around and touring long enough that their paperwork would be handled correctly. Gotta assume it’s some bureaucratic bullshit mucking up the works.
