Comedian Bernie Clifton’s New Album Was Accidentally Printed with a Tracklist for Abhorrent Decimation

Should I know who Bernie Clifton is? Because I don’t. But he’s apparently a well-known British comedian who has some stupid ostrich puppet. Since I’m not British and I don’t care about real ostriches let alone ostrich puppets, I guess that explains why I’ve never heard of him before.

But I’ve heard of him now, and for basically the funniest reason possible: after a successful appearance on the British version of the reality singing competition The Voice, Mr. Clifton decided to make a covers album, To Dream the Impossible Dream… which went to press with the track listing for Miasmic Mutation, an album by London death metal band Abhorrent Decimation.

Although Mr. Clifton tells The BBC that he’s “fuming and furious,” he actually seems to have a decent sense of humor about the whole mix-up: “We could go on the road, me and the lads. We could do To Dream the Impossible Miasmic Mutation.”And why should he care? This is great publicity!

For his part, Abhorrent Decimation vocalist Ashley Scott  is onboard with this idea: “I definitely want to talk to Bernie about working together on something… it would be amazing.” We’ll let you know if anything actually happens with that.
