Metallica, Slipknot, Tool and More Make Metal Injection’s “Top 10 Debut Albums in Metal” Countdown; Watch the Entire Thing Here

In September, our friends at Metal Injection launched their latest video countdown series, The Top 10 Debut Albums in Metal. Since the whole countdown has now been unveiled (spoiler: Metallica’s Kill ‘Em All came in at number one), this seemed like an ideal time to post the entire series here, all in one spot, so you can watch the entire thing. You’re so welcome.

And in case having another list over which to argue is somehow not enough incentive to make you watch it, try this: each video features insights on the selected album from an array of heavy metal luminaries, including members of some of the bands that made the countdown (The Dillinger Escape Play, The Black Dahlia Murder, Mastodon), members of bands that didn’t make the countdown but are still totally rad (Candiria), various record industry insiders (Nuclear Blast’s Monte Connor, Earache’s Al Dawson, etc.), and members of the media (Jose Mangin, some schmucks who run a metal blog, and so on and so forth). My personal favorite episode is the one for #2 on the list, because I’m a narcissist and that episode features a whole lot of me talking… but all the episodes are great. You should definitely watch the whole thing. I mean, what the fuck else are you gonna do… work?

Enjoy the entry for Metallica’s Kill ‘Em All below; a video playlist with all ten episodes is below that. Then have fun bitching that Thy Art is Murder’s debut album didn’t make the cut in the comments section.
