Jamey Jasta (Hatebreed) and Howard Jones (Devil You Know, ex-Killswitch Engage) Stream New Track

Earlier this week Hatebreed frontman Jamey Jasta aired a collaborative track between himself and ex-Killswitch engage / current Devil You Know frontman Howard Jones on the former’s podcast. Despite the offer of a free seven-day trial, a credit card was required just to access the podcast, which I imagine turned off a hefty chunk of people interested in hearing the track (myself included).

But rejoice! The track is now available for all to stream for the simple price of a mouse click. “Chasing Demons,” which is being released under the Jasta solo moniker, is more or less what you’d expect from these two. Hardcore-leaning metal riffs with vague Swedish influence and Jasta’s barking on top make up the bulk of the song before giving way to a melodic chorus sung by Jones. That description probably sounds like a slag, but I actually quite like it: the song rocks, and it’s super catchy!

Check it out below. No word whether Jasta is planning to include it on a new album, which would be the first under his own name since his 2011 self-titled debut.
