Stream the New Scale the Summit Track “Astral Kids”

Scale the Summit - In a World of FearThere’s been no Internet at the Vince Division of the MS Mansion the past two days, so I’ve been forced to venture out through the sunlight (so bright!) and into Brooklyn coffee shops (ugh!) for a slice of slow, shitty WiFi in exchange for overpriced pastries. The pastries are decent, at least, but the people are insufferable.

I share this story because it means I’m listening to Scale the Summit’s new track “Astral Kids” on headphones — the kind that go entirely over your ears and completely surround them — and damn, it sounds goooooooood! My regular listening setup in the Vince Division is plenty decent, but something about a great pair of headphones exposes details of music that you rarely hear otherwise. Chris Letchford’s guitar tone is boss as fuck, and the subtle analogue keyboard sounds in the background are the special juice that make this track extra-sweet.

Stream it below. The band released another new track called “Royal Orphan” last month.

Pre-order new album In a World of Fear digitally for only $5 via Bandcamp, and you’ll also get an instant download of this song and all future singles. Physical formats and package deals are available at the band’s official store. The album comes out on May 19th.
