Daylight Dies are Working on a New Album!
Appropriate news for the coming winter solstice: Daylight Dies, a very dark band indeed, are working on new music.
It’s already been more than five years since the melo-death-doom pioneers released A Frail Becoming and it’ll probably be close to six (if not longer) before their next effort arrives, but the band revealed in a Facebook post that they all got together this past weekend to work on new music:
“The entire band congregated today to collaborate on new music for the first time in years. We began reviewing the many bits and pieces of music we’ve been writing the past couple of years to see where we stand. We were excited to realize we’ve got a significant chunk of strong material to build on towards a new album. Barre and Egan are hunkered down in Barre’s studio demoing arrangements right now, and we will all continue to meet for the next two weeks to work on new music, demo and jam. More updates soon.”
Needless to say, that’s all very exciting! Temper your expectations, though; if the writing process has only just begun, it could be many months before we get to hear any music. Still! I’m so glad these guys haven’t gone away for good.
