The Intersphere’s Fantastically Proggy/Poppy New Album The Grand Delusion is Out Today!

Once upon a time, all the way back in 2014, I get super into a kinda proggy, not-really-metal band called The Intersphere. I liked them so much, in fact, that I named Relations in the Unseen my ninth favorite album of that year.

And then I lost track of them. I was about to beat myself up over it but then I learned that their new album The Grand Delusion, which comes out today, is their first one since then. I don’t fail at being an Intersphere fan after all!

My shpiel on this band is simple: if you dig binds that skirt the line between metal, hard rock and alt rock, and between prog and pop song structures, then The Intersphere are for you. You know what I’m talking about: bands like Dredg, Thrice and Biffy Clyro have occupied this in-between region of music for quite a while, so if you like those acts definitely give The Intersphere a shot.

Here’s the band’s music video for the album track “Mind Over Matter.” You can stream The Grand Delusion on Spotify and order it here.
