Bring Me the Horizon Have Released Another Pop Song, “Drone Bomb Me”

Bring Me the Horizon are showing no signs of relenting on their pivot away from metal (however dubious you may find that classification) to straight up pop music displayed on their latest album Amo, disappointingly low sales figures be damned.

A new single called “Drone Bomb Me,” which Ghost Cult Mag tells us is a cover of an Anohni song (released as Antony Hegarty), has now made its way online via the Spotify singles series and it’s, well… have a listen for yourself. It’s not going to satiate any old-school BMTH fans (of which I am not one), but I rather like it — it’s got some chill Massive Attack vibes portrayed through a more modern production prism with a glitchy beat, lots of auto-tune and all that. I continue to be one of the only people who’s all about BMTH’s change in direction.

Check it out below.
