The Misfits Officially Announce NYC Show at Madison Square Garden
Following some teases yesterday, the reunited Misfits featuring both Glenn Danzig and Jerry Only (officially dubbed The Original Misfits) have now unveiled a date and venue for their planned show in New York City: October 19th at Madison Square Garden, for what is being labeled a “hometown Halloween show.”
While the announcement of this show, the reunion’s 12th, makes our prediction of ten total reunions shows look way out of line, I would like to point out that in our exposé, author D.X. Ferris concluded by positing that a Halloween show in New York City, where the reunited band has yet to play, would be the perfect end to this chapter in their history. If that ends up being the case, call the man a profit! Especially since the recently-added Psycho Las Vegas date only came about last minute as a result of Megadeth’s cancelation due to Dave Mustaine’s throat cancer diagnosis. We’ll see if any more shows come about, but I won’t be surprised if not. Danzig himself recently said that “there’s not gonna be many more.”
